Spring is officially here, and with it commences the joyful planning for Passover, a holiday rich in history, symbolism and family traditions. We wish all of our friends a wonderful holiday with the blessings of peace and good health. It is also the perfect time for the American Friends of Soroka Medical Center to say thank you to our loyal supporters across the country.
As the season for year-end charitable donations is upon us, we ask you to please support Soroka with a gift of any size. We depend on philanthropy to accomplish our capital project goals and to support our mission to provide the most advanced healthcare possible to the undeserved population of Southern Israel.
It is our pleasure to wish our dear friends and supporters a happy and healthy New Year, and a wonderful year ahead filled with accomplishment, fulfillment, enjoyed in peace and good health. Allow us to take this opportunity to express our thanks for your support throughout the year: we so appreciate the spirit of caring and partnership with which you embrace our unique healthcare institution.
The tension and pain in Israel from the current surge in terrorist attacks is felt deeply at Soroka. The recent wave of violence has hit close to home, with the attack at the Be’er Sheva bus station, and most recently the murder of our nurse, Dafna Meir, may her memory be for a blessing.
It is my pleasure to wish all of our friends a happy and healthy New Year. We give thanks to all of our dear supporters and friends, and look forward to a wonderful year ahead, of accomplishments and deep fulfillment, enjoyed in peace and good health.
Hanukah at Soroka was an extraordinary affair this year, with the staff gathering to witness the emotional reunion of two young IDF soldiers who were severely wounded in Operation Protective Edge with the physicians who saved their lives.
