Yael Hashavit, a distinguished diplomat, currently serves as the Consul for Cultural Affairs in North America for the State of Israel. Previously, she was the Consul General of Israel to South India. Yael is dedicated to promoting Israeli culture worldwide and has successfully showcased Israeli artists, writers, musicians, and scholars in Mexico and Latin America. She has organized performances by Israeli musicians and incorporated Israeli visual art in public spaces. Based in New York City, Yael strives to expand the influence of Israeli dance, literature, music, theater, visual arts, cinema, and television throughout North America. She believes that culture is a powerful tool for sharing the beauty of Israel globally. Additionally, Yael Hashavit has held positions such as CEO of Israel's Haigud Society for the Transfer of Technology and Commissioner of Cultural Affairs, Community, and Sport for Haifa, where she prioritized community building through culture and art.
