American Friends of Soroka Medical Center celebrated a night of friendship, fun & philanthropy at the Chehebar Family Club in Brooklyn. Friends enjoyed backgammon, canasta, mahjong, a lovely chinese auction and the amazing performance of a daddaughter duo Sherry Cherra and Steve Cherra. The History of the Star of David at Soroka Opening Ceremony
Thank you to American Friends of Soroka Medical Center’s board, partners, trailblazers and supporters, and to the Iranian American Jewish Federation, who made this this art installation possible. This “healing artwork” honors survival and determination, and evokes a celebration of Jewish culture, tradition and faith–reflecting hope, perseverance and strength. It stands proudly as Israel’s newest Cultural Landmark!
