Dr. Revital Levy-Hevroni, Deputy Director of Soroka Medical Center Selected for the Opening Course of the Inbar Program
“The New Elite Forces of the Public Health System”
The Inbar Program is a new prestigious joint project of the Ministry of Health, Maoz (Leadership, Value, Identity) Leadership Training in the Public Sector and Tel Aviv University. The program has won the attention and support of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Finance, the Public Sector Services and the Kupot Cholim health organizations in Israel. Those selected for the program will be groomed for management positions in the health system and within the next 15 years its graduates will assume most of the key positions in Israel’s health system.
At the conclusion of a highly selective candidacy process 12 physicians (7 female and 5 male) were selected to join the first course of the program and among them is Dr. Revital Levy-Hevroni, Deputy Director of Soroka Medical Center.
Dr. Revital Levy-Hevroni, married and the mother of five, resides in Yeruham. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and also earned her master’s degree (MBA) there in Health System Management. She is a pediatrician and is specializing in medical management. She also specialized in the field of adolescent medicine and is certified by the Ministry of Health to diagnose attention deficit disorders. In recent years she has served as Assistant Medical Director of Clalit Health Services Jerusalem District.
The physicians chosen to participate in the program will undergo a long training process, including:
- Specialization in Medical Management, requiring the physician to hold a management position in one of the health systems’ institutions
- An MBA specializing in Health System Management in the School of Business Administration of Tel Aviv University
- Participation in the “Changemakers” program focusing on leadership, values and identity, in collaboration with Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
